Overview

We are seeking skilled Low Voltage Installers, Technicians, and Foreman to join our team. In this role, you will need to be familiar with the equipment, installation, and commissioning of low voltage systems. Fire Alarm experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Installation of fire life safety and other low voltage systems in medium and large commercial buildings.
  • Must be capable of cabling and trimming fire alarm systems unsupervised and have experience with OSP (Outside Plant) fiber installation.
  •  Foreman will layout and provide direction to HCI installers on site as well as coordinate and communicate with the Project Manager to efficiently complete the project on time and on budget.
  • Technician shall have the ability to program or be experienced with programming low voltage systems including fire alarm, nurse call, access control, security, or CCTV.
  • Responsible for the execution of the installation project plan provided, including equipment delivery, troubleshooting, commissioning, and coordination with other trades to successfully complete projects while exceeding customer expectations.
  • Resolve field problems through research of multiple alternatives.
  • Foreman and Technicians meet with code officials to arrange for building permits, address code issues, and discuss intended wiring and installation methods.
  • Coordinate project activities with other trades at the work location to optimize installation time.
  • Communicate and effectively interact with other contractors and building owners.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
  • Identify out-of-scope requests by the contractor or customer and notify management of pending changes.
  • Identify and assist with suggested solutions for efficient installation to complete the scope.
  • Foreman and Technicians assist customers on-site with questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Effectively communicate project status to management.
  • Complete all appropriate company paperwork as required.
  • Industry-related NICET and/or CA State Certification is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
    • Applicants must meet requirements in relation to background and driving record.
    • Must be proficient in the use and application of industry-related equipment including MS Office.
    • Must have excellent communication skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
    • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.

    Physical Requirements:
    • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high-lift equipment up to 60 feet, and working within ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings.
    • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools as required, and lifting up to 75 lbs.

Pay Range

USD $26.00 - USD $45.00 /Hr.
