Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm and Low Voltage Estimatorto join our team. In this position you will have a range of responsibilities supporting the Account Executive in preparation of the sales estimate and proposal. The person needs to be very detailed and organized and ideally have experience with a low voltage contractor in commercial construction or an Architectural or Engineering firm.

Responsibilities

  • Work with multiple Account Executives on multiple projects to prepare takeoffs and labor and material estimates by reviewing blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  • Develop accurate detailed estimates of material amounts and cost of labor to complete the installation of various low voltage systems including fire alarm, access control, video, intrusion, structured cable, and 2-way communication systems and other low voltage systems.

Qualifications

  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, floor plans, wiring diagrams and specifications.
  • Ability to interpret CAD drawings
  • Knowledge with IFC, IBC, and NFPA.
  • Knowledge of software based takeoff programs.
  • Fire Alarm system and low voltage system design is a plus.
  • High degree of self-discipline with the ability to prioritize and meet multiple project deadlines in a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Must have excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, success driven, have strong organizational skills, a multi-tasker, reliable, self-determined and have excellent follow-up skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Bluebeam/Adobe Acrobat.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Applicants must meet requirements in relation to background and driving record.
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.

Pay Range

USD $65,000.00 - USD $75,000.00 /Yr.
