Overview

We’re seeking a Software/Desktop Specialist to support our ERP system and end users across the organization. This role handles software and hardware troubleshooting, user account setup, and system configurations while also managing database queries, reporting tools, and process automation. You’ll improve workflows, support daily operations, and help drive system efficiency.

Responsibilities

Project Management & Coordination

  • Lead and manage projects focused on IFS Cloud ERP solutions and applications.
  • Work with team members to support project execution and delivery.
  • Collaborate with teams on business requirements and identify process improvements within the IFS ERP framework.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently and ensure timely delivery, regular status updates to stakeholders and management, and proposing mitigation strategies for potential risks.
  • Oversee ERP system planning, configuration, implementation, and support activities.
  • Coordinate with IFS technical support as the primary point of contact for issue resolution.

System Development & Optimization

  • Define and customize application system configurations, workflows, and procedures to align with business needs.
  • Lead continual system improvements and monitor ERP performance, background jobs, and health to ensure optimal efficiency and stability.
  • Manage service update rollouts, track error logs, and monitor integration touchpoints to ensure stable day-to-day operations.
  • Procure and deploy appropriate BI tools and ERP-related reporting solutions based on evolving business needs.
  • Conduct system testing, validation, and user acceptance testing, including creating test cases and ensuring successful deployment of IFS ERP solutions.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of business needs and translate them into functional requirements, process flows, and user stories.
  • Create and manage custom flows and workflows within Office 365 to meet business requirements.
  • Automate repetitive tasks using AI, PowerApps, Flows, advanced Excel formulas, pivot tables, macros, and VBA.

User & System Support

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training materials for end-users to ensure effective use of IFS ERP system capabilities.
  • Provide post-implementation support and promptly address system-related questions and issues.
  • Serve as the primary resource for end users, helping resolve IFS and related system issues.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems.
  • Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and system access.
  • Install, configure, and update software and applications.
  • Respond to help desk tickets and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Support onboarding/offboarding and device deployment.
  • Maintain documentation for common issues and support procedures.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of relevant work experience in software development, ERP systems, PowerBI/SSRS, database administration, custom reporting, or similar technical role.
  • Experience with Windows 10/11 environments and end-user support.
  • Experience with IFS Cloud ERP or similar ERP cloud solutions preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including PowerApps, Power Automate (Flows), and Forms.
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI and/or SSRS, with experience evaluating and deploying BI tools.
  • Hands-on experience with MYSQL, MS SQL Database administration (Azure SQL or Microsoft SQL preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Macros and VBA development, AI, CakePHP, PHP, HTML, Python
  • Proven ability to gather requirements, configure ERP systems, and lead setup, testing, and deployment.
  • Skilled in ERP system monitoring, background job execution, integration troubleshooting and performance optimization.
  • Experience identifying system enhancements and implementing ERP upgrades.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills.

Pay Range

USD $75,000.00 - USD $100,000.00 /Yr.
